Social Media Analyst Ackermans – Cape Town, Western Cape




We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Media Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Support Centre, in Kuilsriver and will be part of a very diverse marketing team. This position will report directly to the Customer Marketing Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution & optimization of social media to enable strategic business decisions, which will include driving customers to our website and then in turn to our stores, gathering customer insight from the social media platforms and translating it to relevant stakeholders in the business to enable effective decision making, and keep up to date with relevant social media trends and social content best practices. The successful candidate will also play a key role in continuously improving our customers’ perception by operating as a good customer care channel for us and our customers.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about social media, who has extensive experience across the various platforms including their respective latest product features, a deep understanding of the range of analytical and metric measurement tools, a keen interest in the creation and curation of engaging content and solid experience in engaging and managing these communities. Key Responsibilities Include:
Manage and execute all social Media campaign performance reporting, including AB testing, benchmarking etc., with constant recommendations for content optimisation
Stay abreast of platform developments to ensure new and current capabilities are tested and optimised
Develop monthly and seasonal social media management reports
Harvest and package consumer digital behaviour insights and trends to feed into the social media and greater marketing plans
Work closely with digital planners to plan targeting options, optimal reach, frequency etc
Performance Analytics and key metrics reporting and analytics
Content Planning and administration
Schedule Management
Community management and customer care

REQUIREMENTS

Advanced writing skills, including ability to write short copy for social media and longer form editorial content for blogs
Good interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail
Confident facilitation and presentation skills
The ability to work in a results driven and performance focused environment
Excellent analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
