SWELLENDAM MUNICIPALITY TVET COLLEGE STUDENTS: WORK INTEGRATED LEARNING (WIL) STUDENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME
Applications are hereby invited from students who completed their N4, N5 and N6 qualification at TVET Colleges who want to be placed at Swellendam Municipality for their 18 months practical and on-the-job- training.
The student will sign a contract with Swellendam Municipality, as well as an internship agreement with the LGSETA who will offer a monthly stipend of R1500.
The purpose of the agreement is to ensure a commitment to the programme, which includes full participation in workplace assignments. Preference will be given to students who reside in the Swellendam municipal area.
WIL Programme overview: The LGSETA WIL-programme is a structured training and work experience programme aimed at providing practical exposure in TVET College students who completed their N4, N5 and N6 to ensure that they acquire the necessary knowledge to obtain the relevant National Diploma at NQF level 6.
The implementation and timeframe of this programme is completely dependent on the support and funding from the LGSETA.
Applicants must submit the following documents to Human Resources on or before 24 January 2018:
- CV with copies of N4, N5 and N6 –certificates attached
- Certified ID
- Letter from TVET -College stating that the student needs placement for “practical “learning.
