Requirements
Certificate of a qualified Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant from the institution. Added Advantage: Registration with South African Pharmacy Council, with Proof of payment for the current year. Computer literacy.
Duties
Validation and dispensing of medication to patient/ Pre-pack of all medication to all chronic patients in the facility in accordance with Integration of chronic service management (ICSM). Drug Supply management. This includes forecasting, ordering and receiving of medication according to FEFO /FIFO method. Cold chain management.Reconsile packed medication for distribution. Support and provide information to patients and colleagues in the facility. Cycle stock count and participate in the bi-annual stock take of the sub- district. Work under direct and indirect supervision of a pharmacist. Support and participate in the district project and also the implementation of (Central Chronic Management Dispensing and Distributing )(CCMDD), reporting of stock on hand using (stock Visibility Solution) SVS.
